Should I disable the Audio Gear on my laptop when I use the Jamblaster?

When I was playing with my Jamblaster when I first go it, I was noticing a sort of "reverb" or "delay" effect in my headphones plugged into the Jamblaster. I realized that my laptop mic was active, and my M-Audio interface was probably also active.

If I'm using the Jamblaster, is it best to disable the audio on my laptop, particularly the mic? I'm assuming the mic "slot" on the Jamblaster is for folks with instruments plugged in, so that they can talk to others in sessions. Hence I'd have two mics live (plus the actual mic I had plugged in to the Jamblaster)
